Yamazaki, my wife is 4'11" and I fixed up a Suzuki S50 for her............installed shorter shocks, cut some foam off the seat and installed crash bars for the occasional tip over. Before the S50 she started with S40 both bikes are perfect for her.

I wanted to get the wife a Grom and teach her how to ride it, but we went to the showroom and found out that she's too short for the bike. Oh well, I guess that's why there's a passenger seat on the NM4!

When you find the "perfect" bike, why do you need to buy another one! My wife ALWAYS tells me you can only ride/use one at a time .... of course that logic didn't quite fly when I asked why she had more than one purse though!

I had a Magna ... for a LONG time, but I wasn't able to carry much whenever I wanted to do some distance riding. It's older "technology" (small gas tank/carburetors/drum rear brake/gas mileage) limited my enjoyment.

The Magna has many very nice attributes, and I have added some things to address some of the shortcomings.
to address the gas mileage/small tank issue I changed the gear ratio by adding a 17 front sprocket
I am running stage 1 jets to correct the lean issue so common in those bikes.
The current setup get me around 42 mpg (135-ish per tank) @70-75 on the highway.
I have some cortech bags for the storage issue that can carry all that I need to.

it is my daily driver and the nice things about the bike (handling/performance) really stand out with how it is set up now.

I am more annoyed with the grapefruit sized panniers on the NM4 honestly, for being so large, they sure are small. That really limits my use for that bike.

(I was trying to ride with the sporties!) She has the power to run like **** BUT lacked the "safety" that I needed. I was getting OVER my head, if you know what I mean. Technologically, she was inferior, wasn't as safe as I wanted her to be or I want to be!
