DCT stays in 1st when stopping

Hi guys,

Had an interesting thing happen a week or so ago.

Approaching a traffic light some 11 or so miles into my commute, the bike kept pushing as I slowed down. It shifted fine, coming from 6th down to first, but when my speed dropped to near nothing, the clutch stayed engaged. Thankfully the light changed and I was able to continue. Again, the bike shifted fine. No further issues.

No codes in the computer. Just this one instance where it failed to disengage.

Anyone had this happen or heard on other forums of this happening? I did a search, but didn't see anything that sounded like what I had happen.

2015 NM4. took delivery on Sept 13, 2014

Mods: homemade bracket for topcase, modified NC700S center stand, rear brake at left hand using Silver Wing master cylinder, Amps Rugged Mount 12v GPS charger/mount, USB power at handlebars, Hot Grips heated grips, Clearwater Glenda LED driving lights, SAE power port, Mo-Door hidden garage opener, Custom seat foam and gel pad with hot weather top pad.

Never heard of this, but, logic, however wrong it may be, says you accidently, with out noticing were slightly on the throttle. Other option may be throttle may have been slightly stuck. Can happen by accident with a throttle lock attached, dirt, weather swelling a close fit grip....

Hmm never had it happen to me.
I agree that I would check the throttle system for stickage.
If it happens again I'd try to push button it into neutral if it will let you.

Be Excellent to each other
